The ASAW1000 power source is a robust digitally controlled Inverter based welding power source. Designed primarily for high-performance arc welding it is also ideal for arc air gouging, MMA welding, metal spraying and other applications which require very high current and very high duty cycle. The ASAW1000 utilises soft switch IGBT technology and has a high power factor making it very energy efficient. Compared to conventional transformer-type power sources the power consumption can be typically around half, therefore the long-term running costs are considerably reduced. In fact, in some instances the energy saving in one year can be more than the cost of this machine, therefore if you are considering upgrading your machine the payback time with this model is extremely short.

ASAW1000 CC/CV Power Source
The ASAW1000 is designed for heavy automated welding & gouging and other applications needing very high performance & duty cycle. It is designed to be used with the ASAW1000 submerged arc welding head & digital control box on a column & boom type application or can be used with the ASAW1000 welding tractor. Also be used as a stand-alone power source for arc air gouging, electrode welding and metal spraying. The digital control allows precise setting & control of the welding parameters with read-out on the large digital amp & voltmeters. The ASAW1000 automatically compensates for fluctuations in the incoming supply and losses in welding cables. Arc stability is superb right through the range even at very low amperages where most conventional machines struggle. This means you get perfect consistent welds every time.

ASAW1000 SUB ARC Welding Head & Digital Controller
This head and controller can be used on a column & boom application or with our SUB ARC tractor. This unit is fitted with a heavy-duty 4-roll drive which has a wire straightening device to give trouble-free feeding of welding wire up to 6mm. The digital control box can be mounted close to the welding head or more remotely, this controller has three digital displays and allows presetting of all welding parameters before welding. Up to 10 different welding programs can also be stored by the user, giving precise repeatability on every weld. At the end of every weld, the wire auto-retracts for the perfect finish. A height adjustment slide is fitted to the welding head and a flux hopper with a mechanical valve is also fitted.
ASAW1000 SUB ARC Tractor
This robust tractor is for use with the above power source, controller and head. It is fitted with a clutch to mechanically engage/disengage the drive; a lateral slide is also fitted to assist in positioning the welding head to give full X-Y positioning.
