IABCO ERCuNi is a 70/30 cupronickel wire, also sometimes called filler metal 67, which is used for welding matching cupronickel alloys. Cupronickel is used in the offshore and desalination industries to provide good corrosion resistance in seawater environments. The 70/30 wire is also suitable for welding the lower strength 90/10 cupronickels. With a suitable buffer layer (eg. ERNi-1 or ERNiCu-7) can be used for cladding CMn steel.
