Rapid presents Women in Welding

Celebrating Women in Welding
This month, Rapid Welding are celebrating ‘Women in Welding’ as Weldline by Lincoln Electric presents the WELD’her range, a line of Personal Protective Equipment designed exclusively for female welders.
The WELD’her range is now available to shop on the Rapid website, including a range of gloves, clothing and helmets.

The Inspiring Rosie the Riveter
Rapid’s favourite product from the Weldline by Lincoln Electric WELD’her range has to be this fantastic helmet. We love the ‘Rosie the Riveter’ style graphic famous for the “We Can Do It!” poster as it represents the strength, motivation and empowerment of women.

History of Women Welders
Did you know that almost a third of workers in the shipyards in WW2 were women? Known as the ‘shipyard girls’, these women were welding, riveting, burning and rivet catching as well as operating cranes! Despite their lack of historical recognition, these women created a shift in the perceptions of women workers.
