Our focus for this month is on the ESAB Rogue welding range, which was launched in 2021. ESAB has a rich in history of innovation within the industry and designed the rogue range for welders who undertake general fabrication, maintenance, repair, agriculture and DIY/home projects.

Rich in history, ESAB’s story is very much a chronicle of welding. There are too many highpoints in the brands legacy to include them all, but 1904 marked the first coated welding electrode developed by Swedish engineer, Oscar Kjellberg, who founded Elektriska Svetsnings-Aktiebolaget (ESAB). Fast-forward to 1972, when Arcair, an ESAB company, crafted the first underwater cutting and welding torch for the US Navy, to mention but two key milestones. One fun fact that shouldn’t be missed out, is ESAB’s 2021 debut NETFLIX appearance on reality series ‘Metal Shop Masters’, as the sole provider of welding equipment!
This year, ESAB is celebrating 120 years of innovations and industry leadership, and with a vision that stretches very much into the future, their story is on-going.

In 2021, ESAB launched their Rogue range, a series of MMA/Lift TIG inverters perfect for general fabrication, maintenance and repair, process pipe, agriculture and DIY/home workshops.
Robust (IP23S rating makes Rogue suitable for use in tough applications), portable and affordable, with next-level control technology, the Rogue range offers professional arc performance capabilities usually found with welders costing significantly more. The rigid fibreglass-moulded housing is built to withstand impact after impact, and like every ESAB machine, Rogue has an industry-leading 3-year warranty for unbeatable peace of mind.
Let’s take a closer look at the Rogue range.
ROGUE ES MODELS
The Rogue ES models include the ES 150i (150A maximum output), ES 180i (180A maximum output), ES 180i Pro (180A maximum output) and ES 200i Pro (200A maximum output). ES 150i, 180i Pro and ES 200i Pro have a duty cycle of 25%, and the ES 180i a duty cycle of 20%, making these models ideal for mains and generator power.
ESAB ROGUE ET MODELS
The Rogue ET models include the ET 230iP AC/DC, which is a portable, high quality, professional AC/DC TIG welder with extended parameter options to excel at everyday aluminium, stainless steel and carbon steel welding.
Available in air and water-cooled versions, the pulsing capabilities in both DC and AC TIG offer enhanced weld puddle control, allowing the welder to tailor the arc further for multiple applications.
The ET 180i and ET 200iP Pro are inverter-based power sources intended for MMA (Manual Metal Arc) and TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding, HF TIG (High Frequency Tungsten Inert Gas) welding.
The Pro models weigh in at 8.25Kg (compared to Rogue 150i and 180i at 6.8Kg), due to the addition of Power Factor Correction (PFC) technology which offers a higher efficiency and steadier arc resistant to power instabilities. The stable arc performance allows for the usage of longer extension cables to perform in the most isolated of areas without disrupting work performance.
ESAB Rogue EMP 210 PRO MIG/MAG Multi Process Inverter Welding Package
Reddot award winner, the ESAB Rogue EMP 210 PRO is an inverter-based multi-process welding system ideal for light fabrication to repair and maintenance. The system features industrial-grade arc performance and full-featured controls that allow the welder to fine-tune arc characteristics based on the welding material.
With a weight of only 16.7Kg, 110v / 230V single-phase input and compatibility with 10 kVA generators, this system provides maximum flexibility and portability, both in the workshop and out in the field.
ESAB Rogue EM 180 MIG/MAG & MMA Inverter Welding Package
Portable MIG/MAG and MMA welding package, the ESAB Rogue EM 180 is an inverter-based MIG welding system designed to address all your welding project needs, from light fabrication to repair and maintenance.
The system features industrial-grade arc performance and full-featured controls that allow the welder to fine-tune arc characteristics based on the welding material.
With a weight of only 16.2Kg, 230V single-phase input and compatibility with 10 kVA generators, this system provides maximum flexibility and portability, both in the shop and the field.
