We were all\u00a0pleased to improve on our &#8216;set up&#8217;\u00a0time, and those\u00a0of us staying\u00a0rewarded\u00a0ourselves with\u00a0a few drinks in the hotel bar.<\/p>\n\n\n<style>.kb-image677_0cb6ba-0b .kb-image-has-overlay:after{opacity:0.3;}<\/style>\n<div class=\"wp-block-kadence-image kb-image677_0cb6ba-0b\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/rapidweldingbl.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/expostand.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"kb-img wp-image-681\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rapidwelding.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/expostand.jpeg 500w, https:\/\/rapidwelding.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/expostand-300x225.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption><em><strong>The Stand<\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Monday arrived, and after a good breakfast and a\u00a0short stomp around the lake to the NEC, we were on the stand and chatting away with people. To make life interesting, we had different representatives\u00a0from the team\u00a0joining us\u00a0throughout the week &#8211; including the guys from\u00a0Rent Arc &#8211;\u00a0formally Bryant Welderental, which meant we had a\u00a0whole host\u00a0host of expertise and fresh\u00a0faces each day. For those of us in it for the duration, it was great to\u00a0welcome Jeff from CK once\u00a0again. We had a lot of fun &#8211; despite his flight\u00a0being delayed on the outward journey &#8211;\u00a0and some good interest was shown\u00a0in the CK products\u00a0which proved a steady\u00a0draw and kept Jeff on his toes and his jet lag at bay.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n<style>.kb-image677_996d19-e5 .kb-image-has-overlay:after{opacity:0.3;}<\/style>\n<div class=\"wp-block-kadence-image kb-image677_996d19-e5\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" src=\"https:\/\/rapidweldingbl.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/jess.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"kb-img wp-image-680\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rapidwelding.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/jess.jpeg 500w, https:\/\/rapidwelding.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/jess-300x224.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption><strong><em>Jeff from CK &amp; Gary from Rapid<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Despite some heart stopping moments setting\u00a0up, the TV screen stayed put and didn&#8217;t\u00a0malfunction (thanks to Dave driving up from Portsmouth to prep the Wi-Fi and do the technical bit!). It\u00a0was a brilliant\u00a0way to access the Rapid Welding website when discussing certain product solutions. We found people were impressed with the\u00a0wide selection of quality brands, and the\u00a0ability, speed and consistency\u00a0with which Rapid supplies to its far reaching\u00a0customer base.<\/p>\n\n\n<style>.kb-image677_c8f824-a6 .kb-image-has-overlay:after{opacity:0.3;}<\/style>\n<div class=\"wp-block-kadence-image kb-image677_c8f824-a6\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"374\" src=\"https:\/\/rapidweldingbl.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/stand2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"kb-img wp-image-679\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rapidwelding.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/stand2.jpeg 500w, https:\/\/rapidwelding.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/stand2-300x224.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Throughout the week, the WorldSkills competitions drew in a large number of visitors\u00a0to support the event.\u00a0It saw teams competing in seven different skill areas, and many of those present at MACH\u00a0will go forward to the UK finals.\u00a0Plenty of\u00a0budding welders\u00a0stopped by the stand for a chat, and it was promising to hear a number of them speak so positively about their training and their chosen\u00a0industry. Of course, they were rewarded with the requisite Rapid mouse mat\/ beer mat!<\/p>\n\n\n<style>.kb-image677_cb452c-3c .kb-image-has-overlay:after{opacity:0.3;}<\/style>\n<div class=\"wp-block-kadence-image kb-image677_cb452c-3c\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/rapidweldingbl.wpenginepowered.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/stand3.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"kb-img wp-image-678\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rapidwelding.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/stand3.jpeg 500w, https:\/\/rapidwelding.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/stand3-300x225.jpeg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption><strong><em>Still smiling on Friday!<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">On Thursday we had a visit form Stephen McPartland, MP for Stevenage, and Thursday night\u00a0was the AWD&#8217;S annual AGM and drinks reception.\u00a0Even\u00a0when Friday arrived, we were all still smiling &#8211;
