The 50 km walk around the Isle of Wight &#8211; a feat Marianne and fellow walker, Jane Griffin, accomplished in 9 hours and 58 minutes,&nbsp;managed to secure some incredible donations for Rapid&#8217;s 2018 charity:&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.hiowaa.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n<style>.wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading403_751d41-da, .wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading403_751d41-da[data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading403_751d41-da\"]{text-align:center;font-style:normal;}.wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading403_751d41-da mark.kt-highlight, .wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading403_751d41-da[data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading403_751d41-da\"] mark.kt-highlight{font-style:normal;color:#f76a0c;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px;}<\/style>\n<p class=\"kt-adv-heading403_751d41-da wp-block-kadence-advancedheading\" data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading403_751d41-da\">Now they&#8217;re doing it all again, only this time it&#8217;s a 100 km!<\/p>\n\n\n<style>.wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading403_5d8123-8f, .wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading403_5d8123-8f[data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading403_5d8123-8f\"]{text-align:center;font-style:normal;}.wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading403_5d8123-8f mark.kt-highlight, .wp-block-kadence-advancedheading.kt-adv-heading403_5d8123-8f[data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading403_5d8123-8f\"] mark.kt-highlight{font-style:normal;color:#f76a0c;padding-top:0px;padding-right:0px;padding-bottom:0px;padding-left:0px;}<\/style>\n<p class=\"kt-adv-heading403_5d8123-8f wp-block-kadence-advancedheading\" data-kb-block=\"kb-adv-heading403_5d8123-8f\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ultrachallenge.com\/thames-path-challenge\/\">The Thames Path Challenge<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ultrachallenge.com\/thames-path-challenge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00a0<\/a>offers a choice of 25 km, 50 km and 100 km walks, and in true Rapid style Marianne decided to go large when entering. The 100 km route takes you from Putney Bridge to Henley, which I hear is a stunning route steeped in history and following England&#8217;s most famous river is sure to be enjoyable. But it is 100 km, let&#8217;s not forget.
