Tig Welders and Tig Welding Equipment
Tig Welding (Tungsten Inert Gas) is a welding process used for high quality welding of a variety of materials especially Stainless Steel, Aluminium and Titanium. Tig welding has generally only been used by professionals due to the high cost of Tig equipment and the higher skill required. However this is changing due to the lower costs of tig equipment. There are two main types of Tig Welder, with DC output and AC/DC Output. A Tig welder with DC output will weld most metals with the exception of aluminium. Tig welders with AC/DC output have the ability to aluminium and its alloys, including magnesium.
One of the main advantages of a Tig welder is the greater control over the weld, and the ability to weld thin sections of metal.
